Windsurfing: Pevensey Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: F5 Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: warm Sea Temperature: ok Weather: sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Pitched up at Pevensey at 3.30 to find usurf, Jon Harmer, Mr. Golden
Ticket, TeeRev and a few others playing in the sun. Most were on 5.3s or
5.8s, but they all looked stacked, so I went 5.0 and it was pretty much
perfect for me. I was nicely powered 99% of the time. Occasionally
there'd be a hole in the wind, but it was always short lived. The sea
state was perfect for my standard of port tack sailing. By the end I was
actually trying to get airborn, but it was easy to stay on the water if you
wanted. I was practising my tacks again today and something must have
clicked because I completed quite a few - more than I dropped. I love
sessions where the sea state changes. It seems an age since I've sailed at
a lowish tide and it was great. Packed up at 6.30 and left a whole bunch
still out the - supersuit and gingerpete turning up halfway through the
session. Even PaulP dropped in to say hello. Lovely day. Shame I can't
make tomorrow.
